This is a Green Planet initiative for providing humanitarian support
and environmental benefit by helping farmers in rural subsistence communities
to achieve sustainable agriculture through appropriate land management
and agro-industrial techniques. Simultaneously crops such as kenaf will
relieve the pressure on trees and petroleum as the processed crops can
replace wood pulp oil based materials in many applications.
GPRAIC will provide consistent suitable modern working practices in
these rural communities and include crop processing facilities.
- Built
in a traditional village format, each hub will contain the necessary
plant and machinery and support the entire community by way of health
benefits, education, and skills learning.
- Support facilities such as
crèches can be included where
required. The inclusion of bio-diesel, solar ovens and a clean water
supply will further ensure optimum health and reduce carbon emissions.
- Nutritional support will be provided through mineral rich fertilisers
and health supplements where required.
- Each community will have a purpose
built general facility that can be used for additional training, education,
health and recreational pursuits.
The surrounding land will consist of existing small independent farms
that will be equipped with the necessary agriculture machinery and transportation
facilities and expertise for producing competitive produce. Additionally
the farmers will share in the profits of the processing hubs. We can
ensure the farmers will have a market for their produce in place.
